Turkey Lacrosse welcomes Adam Marshall as the new Defensive Coordinator for the 2014 National Team heading to Denver this July. Adam has been involved in growing the game in Germany for the last three years as the Head Coach for the HLC Rot-Weiß München in Munich, Germany. Coach Marshall led the team to the German National Champions in 2012 and is currently in the playoffs to repeat their 2012 success. He is deeply dedicated to growing the game on an international stage, and is happy to help Turkey Lacrosse grow. Adam started and Head Coached the Grand Canyon University Men’s Lacrosse program from 2007 to 2010 prior to heading to Germany. He spends his time divided between Germany and the US. He recently coached the Kirkland lacrosse program in Kirkland, Seattle, Washington. “I heard that Turkey Lacrosse was hiring through my friend Jamie Plunkett (the Offensive Coordinator of the Turkish National Team), and was eager to go to the World Games myself,”says Adam excitedly. “I was happy to get the opportunity to help Turkey make its debut performance at the World Games in Denver!” Turkey Lacrosse has many players 18 years of age or under. One player will be turning 16 two weeks prior to the games. When asked how he plans to work with a group of young players, Adam says, “We’ll have to figure out what our level of play is, and then take the next step forward from there. We have to gauge their skill level, and then figure out what improvements we can make for the big stage.” Adam has big hopes for team Turkey. He would like to win it all, and looks forward to the challenge. Turkey faces Poland, Czech Republic and Costa Rica in the Gray Division at the World Games. Prior to that, the team will be arriving in early July for mini-camp at the University of Northern Colorado and will have multiple friendlies with teams such as Brigham Young University, the University of Northern Colorado, the University of Colorado ( 2014 MCLA Division 1 National Champions) as well as the Israel National Team (with whom they have a friendly match every year), plus many more For more information on Turkey Lacrosse, or to learn how to become a sponsor for Turkey at the World Games, please contact Patrick Dougherty, Executive Director and Founder of Turkey Lacrosse, at email@example.com.
